The American Youth Soccer Organization operates soccer
programs where young people can learn to develop a positive self-image,
self-confidence and other positive character traits. We base our soccer program
on these five philosophies:
| Everyone Plays |
Our goal is for kids to play soccer - so we require that every
player must play at least half of every game. |
| Balanced Teams |
Teams are set up as evenly balanced as possible. |
| Positive
Coaching |
Winning kids are built up, not torn down! We train and encourage
our coaches to make the extra effort to understand and offer positive
help to our players, rather than negative criticism. |
| Open Registration |
Interest and enthusiasm are the only requirements for playing AYSO
soccer. All age eligible youth who want to register and play are given
the opportunity to do so. |
| Good Sportsmanship |
We encourage a positive environment based on mutual respect,
rather than a win-at-all-costs attitude. |
